This past week rap superstar 50 cent snapped up rap group Mobb Deep and added them to his label just a week after they were going to be dropped by Jive.

As a very generous signing bonus 50 cent bought both members of the group (Havoc and Prodigy) brand new Porsche’s.

Reportedly the group is already hard at work getting a new album ready for released under 50 Cent’s label titled “Blood Money.”

Almost five hundred fans of Mobb Deep were let down this past Sunday, when at the last possible minute the rap group refused to take the stage at the Wellington Town Hall without being paid $7000USD in cold hard cash.

The Wellington, NZ fans had already shelled out $59/ticket to see the group and waited through several support acts but at 11pm a reluctant promoter had no choice but to come out on stage and tell the waiting fans the bad news.

Thats not all, Mobb Deep also failed to make a scheduled appearence earlier in the day at a local record store, leaving over 50 fans having just waited in line for nothing.

Matthew Peilua, the concert promoter, told ticket holders that they would recieve a refund but they would have to contact the Ticketek office to do so.

“There is probably nothing I can say to appease the hurt and frustration that people are feeling, but as an investor to this concert I too have lost out,” Matthew said.

As always their is no doubt two sides to this arguement however I do strongly feel that performers owe their fans a certain level of respect and should have taken the stage anyways, afterall those fans are the ones footing the bill for the performers lifestyle.
